Compared to translational leadscrew devices, the company's new linear actuator with ball screw is claimed to reduce friction, thereby extending motor life. The unit's hollow shaft accomodates a variety of leadscrews up to 3/8" in diameter. A threaded front-shaft extension and hub allow for ballscrew attachment to the rotating hollow shaft.
This size 23, single-stack dc stepping motor measures 2.25" x 1.8" and features a peak operating torque of 50 oz/in. The motor can achieve up to 300 lbs. of linear force while providing up to 10" of linear travel per second.
