Modular Encoder Scales New Performance Heights

March 1, 2003
A new, higher performance, self-aligning, self-centering and self-gapping Size 21 modular encoder has been designed with a small axial length of 0.84" maximum. Touted as a revolutionary product, the RM21 series encoder uses surface-mount technology.

A new, higher performance, self-aligning, self-centering and self-gapping Size 21 modular encoder has been designed with a small axial length of 0.84" maximum. Touted as a revolutionary product, the RM21 series encoder uses surface-mount technology. With a single push on the patented slide lock mechanism, the RM21 can be aligned, centered and gapped for maximum performance. Operating temperature is from -10°C to +100°C with frequency response up to 200 KHz. Three channel output signals have appropriate complements. The RM21 encoder comes in line counts of 10 to 2,500 pulses per revolution. Its cover has an integral positive lock-on mechanism. RENCO ENCODERS INC., Goleta, CA. (805) 968-1525.
