The PCI-8154 debuts as a cost-effective, four-axis pulse-train motion-control card for managing stepper, servo, and linear motors. Delivering pulse rates up to 6.55 MHz, the card features a hardware-controlled emergency stop, software security protection to prevent illegal copying of custom software, and a card-index switch supporting multiple PCI-8154 cards in a single system. Compatible with Mitsubishi, Panasonic, and Yaskawa servos and steppers, the PCI-8154 allows for movement through multiple axes with linear and circular interpolations using continuous contouring. Other features include 13 homing modes, backlash compensation, and simultaneous start/stop of multiple axes in single- or multiple-card configurations.
