Motion Control Module Facility Goes Online

Jan. 1, 2000

Proprietary motion control modules combining power semiconductors and related components are now available from the firm’s new facility in Wales (U.K.). Among the power products available are adaptable planar modules that incorporate input rectifiers, a short-circuit rated IGBT inverter, an optional brake IGBT and diode, current shunts, a temperature sensor, bus capacitors with in-rush limiting circuits, gate drivers, and short-circuit, over-temperature, earth-fault and over-voltage protection. Other power modules slated for production include: integrated starter alternator devices; electric power steering modules; and solid-state motor starter modules.
