Moving Coil Motors Maximize Torque

May 1, 2000

The RE series of 150W moving-coil motors use rare earth magnets and graphite brushes to maximize the torque available in a 40-mm diameter and 71-mm long package. Using the company's patented rhombic moving-coil design, it is claimed that the motors offer long life, low electrical noise, fast acceleration, and high efficiency. The motor is available in three different windings to match speed to voltage. The maximum speed is 8200 rpm and the maximum efficiency is 91%. Ambient operating temperature range is from -20°C to 100°C. Matching gearheads and encoders are also available.
