Claiming to have the longest sensing distance in the industry for its size, the E3Z through-beam photoelectric sensor can sense at distances up to 15 meters. Two other models, retro-reflective and diffuse-reflective sensor, operate at distances up to four and one meter, respectively. According to the company, the long sensing distance saves installation space, making the devices highly suitable in a wide range of conveyor applications in the food and beverage and electronics industries. An integrated IC is said to improve noise immunity, reducing interference from electrical components such as noise inverters, motors and other inductive devices. The E3Z line is IP67 rated, suitable for wash-down environments, and operates in temperatures from 5°C to 70°C. They are also claimed to consume 30% less energy than conventional photoelectric sensors. Prices start at $77 with delivery from stock.
