Breaking the 1" size barrier that has been the traditional limit for anti-backlash plastic nuts because of load requirements that can reach 500 lbs., the XC Series of 1" plastic anti-backlash nut assemblies with ActiveCAM technology uses an advanced plastic compound that not only offers zero backlash for the life of the nut but also costs only half as much as a ball screw. ActiveCAM uses a rigid stainless-steel cam that automatically rotates and produces higher axial rigidity without sacrificing life, torque or positional accuracy. ActiveCAM automatically compensates for wear and delivers exceptional repeatability throughout the life of the nut. The ActiveCAM design replaces older spring-loaded nut technologies, produces zero backlash and provides consistent minimal drag torque up to the rated load.
