PMC Module Controls Motion

Dec. 1, 1998
With six channels of quadrature decoder inputs, six channels of 12-bit DAC outputs, 30 channels of digital I/O, an interval timer, and a watchdog timer with all I/O optically isolated from the host, the PMC-ENCDAC control module provides all the I/O

With six channels of quadrature decoder inputs, six channels of 12-bit DAC outputs, 30 channels of digital I/O, an interval timer, and a watchdog timer with all I/O optically isolated from the host, the PMC-ENCDAC control module provides all the I/O functionality needed for machine tools, robotics, and motor control systems. Control processing is done by a host CPU, permitting implementation of custom motion control algorithms. The module comes with 12- or 16-bit d/a converters and accessories which include cable assemblies and terminal block panels.
