Enlisting patent-pending BiCMOS technology, the SNDH series quadrature industrial speed-and-direction sensors take a practical approach to replacing sensor-bearing products with the goal of making vehicle servicing easier. By separating the sensor and bearing, users may service the sensor without taking the vehicle apart to remove the bearing from the motor drive. The company's dual differential Hall-effect IC BiCMOS technology allows the sensors to detect speed and direction of small, rotating targets with air gaps up to 2 mm. They specify a 90° sensor-to-sensor phase shift accuracy that is highly repeatable. Potential applications include a variety of industrial and heavy-duty vehicle applications that require frequency ranges from 0 kHz to 15 kHz with large air gaps.
