Robotic Connectors Seek Small Factory Automation Assignments

March 1, 2002

Designed for smaller factory automation needs, the Compact Robotic Connector (CRC) system provides a power and signal interface for small robots and other motor-driven equipment. Said to be 1/15 the size of traditional heavy-duty rectangular I/O robotic connectors, the CRC also claims to be one of the only industrial I/O connector systems that provides combined features that include a 7A current rating, 250V rating, shielding, and high-density 3 mm grid packaging in up to 30 circuits. Other features include a removable one-touch housing. A plug and receptacle component kit set for wire-to-panel applications costs about $20 per mated pair each/100. MOLEX INC., Lisle, IL.
