Using a brushless dc motor and compressed air to precisely set and control torque, the patented HD Series torque control system is touted as a revolutionary change in repeatable screw fastening technology. Reportedly the first torque-control tool using both air and electric power to set and control torque, its pneumatic pressure sensor and patented algorithm allow for precision digital torque selection. Adjustable torque and parameter settings occur with one touch on the front panel or through a PLC signal. The HD-Series features a programmable digital torque setting with memory for eight preset torque settings and the electric screwdrivers feature a brushless motor design that provides durability and allegedly reduces the standard maintenance costs for electric screwdrivers.
