The fully managed NETernity 10-Gb GBX460 6U OpenVPX data plane Ethernet switch module employs the company’s OpenWare suite of protocols and switch management software. The GBX460 supports high throughput interprocessor communication between 10 GigE-enabled processing nodes for deployed network-centric defense and aerospace applications. Its non-blocking 10GigE ports provide high performance throughput across the VPX backplane. The non-blocking feature means that the GBX460 can pass traffic across all 10 GigE ports at wire speed without bottlenecks. Optional builds for the GBX460 include support for up to 24 10GigE ports or up to four front panel 10 GigE fiber ports to connect to external networks. GE INTELLIGENT PLATFORMS, Charlottesville, VA.
