The ATCA-F300 claims title as the industry's only AdvancedTCA Gigabit Ethernet switch that includes both base and fabric interfaces for telecommunications applications. The unit features a 24-port managed Layer 3 switch with support for 14 payload slots, an interface for connection to a shelf-management controller with IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) support, and a connection for a second ATCA-F300. Other features include eight Ethernet uplink interfaces for the base and fabric channels via the rear transmission module, an SNMP agent for switch management, and an option for adding a TDM clock generator.
