App Eases Power Supply Cap Selection

March 22, 2010
the recently-enhanced version of SpiCalci software guides designers to select the proper switchmode power supply capacitor to match application requirements

Still free of charge, the recently-enhanced version of SpiCalci software guides designers to select the proper switchmode power supply capacitor to match application requirements. The upgraded SpiCalci 5.0 SMPS software incorporates the company’s current capacitor technologies including TurboCap, MH Series, and its expanded MIL PRF 49470 product offering. The software allows users to select critical parameters, build a part number, and view charts such as ESR, impedance versus frequency, temperature change versus applied current, and maximum current over frequency. The application is available for download on the company’s website. AVX CORP. Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 448-9411.
