Embarking as an economical, general-purpose data recorder and analysis module, the iWorx 404 recorder provides plug-and-play compatibility for use with any analog amplifiers, probes, transducers, or other accessories. The instrument performs 16-bit data collection at speeds up to 10 KHz, speeds appropriate for most research applications. It comes with LabScribe2 data-acquisition and analysis software that allows one-click control of the acquisition process and packs a large library of standard analytical functions. The recorder relies on a 16-bit ADC to sample data over an input range of ±10V. Additionally, the unit specifies a noise figure of less than 1 mV and derives operating power via a USB interface on either a Windows or Mac computer. An optional software module for performing pressure volume loop analysis is also available. Single-unit price is $1,000 (iWorx 404) or $1,500 (iWorx 404-PVL) with the pressure volume loop analysis software. IWORX/CB SCIENCES INC., Dover, NH. (800) 234-1757.
