The company has added complete QNX real-time operating system (RTOS) support for its PowerDNA series of data-acquisition (DAQ) and control cubes. As a result of integrating the QNX library, users gain the functionality and ease of use provided by standard Windows and Linux interfaces plus the deterministic timing common to QNX. The library, compatible with all popular versions of QNX including revisions 4.x and 6.x, is deployable on any host computer running the QNX RTOS and connected to the PowerDNA cube via Ethernet. Additionally, a support package provides example and demonstration programs as well as complete documentation. Pricing for QNX for PowerDNA is $300, and the QNX PowerDNA runtime costs $30 per installation. UNITED ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES INC., Canton, MA. (800) 829-4632.
