Providing eight independent 24-bit A/D converters, PAR24B data acquisition system achieves 22-bit true single sample accuracy at a 20 Hz sampling rate with a maximum sampling rate of 1 kHz. The eight independent A/D subsystems eliminate crosstalk or settling problems. Interfaced with standard bidirectional PC parallel ports, the system is well-suited for laptop or desktop computers where installation of ISA or PCI bus cards are difficult or impossible. Optionally, the parallel port can be run in EPP mode for fast data transfers. Parallel port cable lengths are up to 30 feet.
