Designed to completely mirror the look and feel of the device it is running on, Visual CE Version 5.0 database development tool provides new features that claim to help users of Windows CE-based devices design databases and access information in the formats they need. One new feature is the ability to open an image, play a recorded sound, or open a Pocket Word document from within a database at the click of a button.
Other enhancements include a look-up functionality that allows users to be specific in how they access and define data. Applications are created on any Windows 9x/NT/2000-based desktop system and downloaded to the Windows CE device. Four editions are available with prices ranging from $79 to $599.
