Lauterbach has developed the TRACE32 debug probe to provide state-of-the-art debug features for the new high-performance Broadcom XLP, XLR and XLS processor families. Full multi-core support and an awareness of many real-time operating systems such as Linux create a debugging environment for all stages of software development and debugging – ranging from low level system bringup to high-end applications involving symmetric and asymmetric multiprocessing. An efficient and user friendly C and C++ HLL debugger in the TRACE32 PowerView software is meant to boost development productivity. Flexible scripting features allow for full automation. The TRACE32 tools can be connected to either Windows or Linux hosts via USB 2.0 or Ethernet 10/100/1000. A flash programming tool for the internal flash is included. All TRACE32 PowerTools comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
