Addressing the always-on connected home agenda, semiconductor maker Marvell and software guru Jungo have integrated Jungo's OpenRG residential gateway software and Marvell's AVANTA Application Gateway-on-a-Chip (GoC) into a unique residential gateway reference platform.

Addressing the always-on connected home agenda, semiconductor maker Marvell and software guru Jungo have integrated Jungo's OpenRG residential gateway software and Marvell's AVANTA Application Gateway-on-a-Chip (GoC) into a unique residential gateway reference platform. Allegedly, service providers and network operators will now have easier access to always-on home services and value-added applications while increasing average revenue per user. The residential gateway platform, powered by Jungo's OpenRG software, offers a managed gateway with intelligent data routing with quality of service (QoS), carrier-class VoIP, IPv6 support, and virtual private networks with firewalls. It also provides seamless support for multiple wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) technologies including EPON, GPON Gigabit Ethernet, USB and Wi-Fi.
