The VS6-210 P.A. Semi Dual dual-core VXS module combines an industry-standard Power Architecture framework and a serial RapidIO interconnect fabric with a PWRficient PA6T-1682M processor. Boasting of low power consumption, the module dissipates 5W to 13W when running at 2 GHz during typical operations. Depending upon the application, this reportedly is three to four times less than similar microprocessor platforms. Suitable for sensor applications including radar, sonar, communications, and imaging, the module employs three independent, standards-based communication fabrics for control, data movement, and sensor data input in its air-cooled VXS form factor.
