High-Voltage Power Supplies Added To Findpowerproducts.com
By Sam Davis, Contributing Editor

A manufacturer of high-voltage power supplies suggested that I add such supplies to the findpowerproducts.com database. So, I decided to research some data on these technologies. I had thought the flat-panel display trend had eliminated the need for high-voltage supplies for CRT displays. However, I found that many commercial and industrial applications apparently use high-voltage supplies. As a result, the findpowerproducts.com database now includes high-voltage ac-dc and dc-dc power supplies.

quick poll |

Analog/Power Editor Don Tuite will look at some high-end audio components and how they relate to the listening experience in his Sept. 27 Engineering Feature. How do you rate your own audio enjoyment?
  • I've got "golden ears" and require perfect fidelity.
  • CD quality is good enough for me.
  • I miss the warm crackles and pops of LPs.
  • With my bad hearing, it makes no difference.

Let your voice be heard. Vote now on www.electronicdesign.com. The Quick Poll is located at the bottom of the page, so don't forget to scroll down!
