Focusing on applications requiring compact size and versatility, WIN Enterprises’ PL-80520 desktop platform features a high-bandwidth DDR3 DIMM slot that supports up to 8 Gbytes of memory. The platform is powered by an Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Embedded G-Series system-on-a-chip (SoC). Storage interfaces include a 2.5-in. SATA HDD and CompactFlash. Features include four copper Gigabit Ethernet ports, bypass function, USB 2.0 port, RJ45 console port, Mini-PCIe socket (PCI-e and USB), and 11 LED indicators for monitoring power, storage activities for system management, maintenance, and diagnostics. The chassis-housed unit is designed as a wireline or wireless (optional) networking or network security device. For expansion capabilities, there’s a full-size Mini-PCIe with USB, half-size Mini-PCIe with USB, and PCIe/SATA signaling. Other network features include 1 x RS-232/422/485 + 2 x RS-232; 2 x USB 2.0 and 1 x USB 3.0; and Line-out, Mic-In audio ports.
