The AD-CIF series Fieldbus interface cards support three communication protocols, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, and CANopen, as well as three PC interfaces, PCI-bus, PC/104, and PC/104-Plus. Through the Fieldbus master/slave communication function, the master cyclically monitors and controls multiple slaves to ensure a balance between performance and reliability. Compared to similar cards, the greatest advantage of the series is its dual-port memory, which reportedly promotes the independent exchange of data between devices on the bus and relieves the CPU from several processing tasks.
