Forecasting lower prototyping and short-run production costs, the GTC01 GSM/GPRS module is a complete GSM/GPRS platform supporting the Cinterion M2M Evolution range of GSM modems. The plug-in module includes a programmable PIC-based, eight-bit Flash MCU watchdog, a SIM holder, RS-232 interconnections, and user interfaces. Essentially, users can insert it into any app requiring GSM connectivity. The GTC01 also offers web connectivity through its TCP/IP stack. The 51 mm x 84 mm DIL module requires a 5 to 13.8 Vdc supply and draw less than 40 mA when inactive. Price is $59.50 each. RADIOMETRIX LTD., Middlesex, England. +44 (0) 20 8909 9595.
