A units converter and calculator and an IBIS-to-SPICE converter are among the free software utilities that can be downloaded from the firm's website. The software joins a variety of other free SPICE-related items at the site. The unit's calculator is used to convert between various types of quantities and allows the user to evaluate sequences of mathematical expressions. The IBIS-to-SPICE converter converts IBIS (I/O Buffer Information Specification) data sheet information into SPICE models and supports IBIS version 1.1, 2.1 and 3.0. The tool is extensible and allows various SPICE model syntax variations and topologies to be programmed by the user. It reads and parses the IBIS data sheet and extracts the appropriate information. The extracted data is merged into a model template file resulting in a sub-circuit that the SPICE program can simulate.
