The OpenDAC family of controllers and I/O racks is targeted for low-cost remote data acquisition and control applications. Using the OpenLine dual-point I/O modules and bricks, the compact OpenDAC controller interfaces with up to 32 points of digital and/or analog I/O. Each controller can be networked using Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, or Optomux protocols. Ethernet and Profibus networks will be supported in future releases. Dual-point I/O modules have many different digital, analog and smart offerings that can be mixed on each rack. The system can be used stand-alone with an industrial PC as its host, or with an OpenLine, PLC or DCS system to expand the I/O count.
