Expanding the SeaLINK USB family, the SeaLINK+I.DIN (Item# 2113) and SeaLINK+2I.DIN (Item# 2213) optically isolated USB to RS-232/-422/-485 adapters offer one or two serial ports, respectively, and both include patent-pending SeaLATCH locking USB connectors that prevent accidental cable disconnection. Each DB-9M serial port is configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 via dip switches accessible through the case, and optical isolation protects the host computer from voltage surges and ground loops. For mounting, the adapters include a removable plastic clip that snaps onto a 35-mm DIN rail, or the clip can also attach to a wall, under a counter, or to any other flat surface via screws. Available now, prices start at $139 each. SEALEVEL SYSTEMS INC., Liberty, SC. (864) 843-4343.
