A design and evaluation kit that speeds development, prototyping and testing of distributed power architectures using dc-to-dc converters of from 10W to 25W, Newport kit uses firm's NPH family of wide input, high efficiency converters. Using the kits, engineers can evaluate and modify input, output and common-mode noise performance to suit various applications, and a synchronization pin allows for frequency adjustment and implementation of remote shut down. A potentiometer is supplied for driving the voltage trim pin. Each kit has the dc-to-dc converter and all components needed for making the evaluation, such as noise filtering devices, safety fuse, reverse protection diode, and screw terminals.
