MCPA Module Predicts Lower Basestation Costs

Forecasting a 20% reduction in overall basestation costs, the company's digital multi-carrier power amplifier (MCPA) module debuts as the wireless infrastructure industry’s first digital amplifier architecture. The Class M Power module reduces amplifier form factor by 50% and operates at 25% efficiency. Benchmarks for size are achieved by integrating amplifier digitization, up-conversion, linearization, and amplification functionality into a single, self-contained module measuring 60 mm x 70 mm. The module is rated at 100W peak and its architecture can also scale from 5W to 160W of linear average power. For more details and prices, call PULSEWAVE RF, Austin TX. (512) 437-2600
