Offered as a turnkey solution, the MG6000 media gateway blade is said to be the industry’s highest density T1/E1 media gateway in blade form. It combines the company’s media and voice processing, network access, and signaling components and is designed to be a drop-in product. The blade can be used in a variety of carrier-grade applications including IMS media gateways, access gateways, Class 5 replacement switches, media servers, and wireless inter-working functions. Complementary NexusWare MG software provides complete media gateway, media server, and signaling gateway capabilities. The application builds on the Linux-based NexusWare core development environment by integrating Q.931, SIP, MGCP, and H.248 signaling stacks, as well as the media processing functionality found in UniPorte media and voice processing Software.
