Easing field and benchtop measurement chores, the NI CompactDAQ system consists of an 8-slot chassis supporting I/O modules capable of measuring up to 256 channels of varied signals including voltage, temperature, strain, sound, vibration, digital I/O, and switching. Modules are hot swappable and provide up to 2.3 kVRMS of isolation. Four USB streams are available for synchronous analog and digital I/O. The system comes with NI-DAQmx driver software and other measurement services that include a number of tools and interfaces for quick system setup. The software also includes an open API for LabVIEW, C/C++, Visual Basic 6, and Visual Studio .NET plus a wizard utility that automatically generates LabVIEW code.
