RAIDing SAS
Adaptec has attacked the SAS market with a range of products, from the $369 48300 SAS host bus adapter (HBA) to the $5995 SANbloc 5000f RAID Subsystem. The 335SAS Storage Enclosure targets small servers needing four hot-swap SAS/SATA drive bays. Adaptec brings more than hardware to the table, too. Its Storage Manager software provides central management, monitoring, and configuration. The Advanced Data Protection Suite provides patented RAID6 dual-drive failure protection as well as other features, such as copy-back hot-spare support.

One Part UML. One Part C/C++ IDE. Mix Thoroughly
Green Hills Software's Multi gets intimate with ILogix's Rhapsody, providing developers with an integrated environment from model design to low-level debugging. Changes made to source code generated by Rhapsody in Multi are automatically migrated back to the UML model. The Rhapsody and Multi debuggers also are seamlessly joined together. For example, breakpoints show where the application stopped in the source code and UML model. The combined package pricing starts at $14,400.

Integrity integration provides access to the RTOS programming interface as well as supports realtime specifications within a UML model. The Systems Modeling Language provides a consistent, cross-platform programming language for use with UML. Pricing starts at $1495.
