NXP Gives Arm A Pair Of Buses

NXP Semiconductors' 32-bit ARM7-based LPC2300 and LPC2400 look to deliver high performance IO using two AHB buses. These provide simultaneous access to SDRAM, Ethernet, USB, CAN, and other peripherals.

Peripherals include 10/100 Ethernet, USB On-The-Go (OTG), two-port USB host, and two CAN controllers. Also included are four UARTs, SPI, SSP, three I2C interfaces, I2S, RTC, ADC/DAC and SD/MMC card interface. The chip has 2 kbytes of battery backup SRAM that also supports the real-time clock (RTC). The processor supports on-chip flash and off-chip SDRAM.
