The PC-COMM+232 (product number 3622-osc7.37) PCMCIA card provides two asynchronous, RS-232 compatible serial ports capable of data transfers up to 460 kb/s. Utilizing the 16850 UART with a 128-Byte buffer, the card allows high-speed transfers without data overruns. A 12" pigtail cable terminating in two DB-9P connectors is included, The cable includes a positive locking connector that secures to the card, eliminating unwanted cable disconnects. Operating systems supported include Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and Linux. The card costs $349 and another version that supports transfers up to 230 kb/s (product number 3622) costs $299.
