Enlisting a Xilinx Virtex 5 SX95 FPGA, the X5-400M PCI Express module provides dual-channel, 14-bit analog I/O at 400 Msamples/s within a standard XMC module. The FPGA teams with 1 GB of DDR2 DRAM and 4 MB of QDR memory, making the module suitable for demanding applications such as emerging wireless standards. It employs the company's Velocia data flow architecture with an 8-lane PCI Express interface that provides over 1 GB/s of sustained transfer rates to the host. Private links to host cards with over 1.6-GB/s capacity using J16 are provided for system integration. Additionally, the X5 family can be customized using VHDL and MATLAB via the FrameWork Logic toolset. Single-unit pricing is $6,995. INNOVATIVE INTEGRATION, Simi Valley, CA. (805) 578-4260.
