For applications in extreme environments, the Model 7131 16-channel, multiband digital-receiver PMC is now available in a highly rugged version, the Model 7131-702. Like its contemporary, the 7131-702 features two 14-bit 105 MHz a/d converters and four quad digital receivers. The card also couples a Virtex-II FPGA with software radio functions, providing over two million gates available for user customization. In terms of ruggedization, it has an operating temperature range from -20°C to +65°C, a storage temperature range from -40°C to +100°C, and qualification for 20g shock, 2g-sine vibration and 0.04 g2/Hz random vibration. A conformal coating is also available that extends the functional operating range to 100% relative humidity and protects the card from environmental contaminants. Price starts at $7,495.
