Said to ease the addition of Internet connectivity to a range of mission-critical and deeply embedded systems, the Integrity and ThreadX real-time operating systems (RTOSs) now integrate InterNiche Technologies' Embedded Internet software. The RTOSs provide a run-time platform for InterNiche's line of Internet protocols, including TCP/IP protocol stack, WebPort web server, and NicheView web browser.
The portable TCP/IP stack is a fully compliant suite of protocols for Internet, Intranet, and LAN connectivity. The IP layer can be configured as a standard client machine, IP router, or multi-homed server. WebPort is an embedded web server that allows an embedded device to be configured and monitored by end users from any web browser. Occupying just 30 KB of memory, NicheView web browser is said to be ideal for hand-held products.
