The company has developed a new integrated system-on-a-chip (SoC) validation platform for embedded system design as part of an agreement with Agilent Technologies Inc. and ARM. The new validation platform is said to allow for faster "out-of-the-box" design validation of embedded systems using ARM core-based microprocessors. The platform, which targets embedded hardware and software co-designs, including wireless applications, is said to reduce design validation time from months to days.
The platform includes: Aptix's System Explorer or Software Integration Station with its new interface to ARM's widely-used Integrator SoC development platforms; the ARM Integrator ASIC development platform with Core Modules; and Agilent's logic and Trace Port analyzer.
The validation platform components are available directly from the companies. Prices for the Aptix products start at $75,000 and include the Integrator interface. The ARM Integrator platform starts at $3,000. And the Agilent logic analyzers for real-time trace port analysis and cross correlation of external buses range in price from $8,000 to $35,000.
