Hardware, example projects, and evaluation versions of the embedded-development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM are all included in IAR Systems’ starter kits for STMicroelectronics’ STM32F429 microcontroller series. The IAR KickStart Kit for STM32F429 contains software and example projects, plus an evaluation board with various connectivity possibilities. The board features an LCD touchscreen, microphone and headphone connectors, Ethernet, USB OTG, and USB Host connectors. There’s also SPI flash memory, SD card slot, and multiple power-supply options. A J-Link Lite debug probe provides JTAG and SWD debug interfaces (fully integrated in-circuit debugging probes are sold separately). Two IAR Experiment! kits include a magnetometer kit and a game-controller kit. Both include example projects, evaluation versions of IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM, and an STM32F429 evaluation board. The magnetometer kit includes a module that identifies magnetic fields; a small LCD outputs information. The game-controller kit features a game controller and color LCD.
