The IDP Express R2000 system for high-speed, real-time image processing relies on a FPGA to provide access to its open-ended architecture. It supports one or two of the company’s CMOS camera heads at full or reduced resolution and speed.  It is available in two configurations: without the FPGA and with a Xilinx FPGA. Without the FPGA, the R2000 operates in high-speed image acquisition mode, writing image data directly to the host’s RAM.
