Accommodating existing software and full-sized, full-height PCI cards, the XP-9E PCI expansion system in a 4U rack-mount enclosure supports eight PCI cards and one PCIe x4 slot. Reportedly, it integrates seamlessly into the PCI Express bus of application servers that do not support PCI cards. The system allows end users to adopt application servers based on their needs, rather than on the number of available PCI slots. Connectivity to the server is via one PCIe x4 serial cable measuring 2m long that connects to a low profile PCIe adapter in the application server. Other system features include an advanced cooling system with a replaceable intake air filter that provides forced-air cooling at 25W per slot. Additionally, the system is available with either a 350W ATX or redundant 500W power supply. For more details, contact Jessica Isquith at CARLO GAVAZZI COMPUTING SOLUTIONS, Brockton, MA.
