Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group is offering the TPC-1750H, a 17” Touch Panel Computer (TPC) with an Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor designed to operate in temperatures between 0°C~45°C. To further enhance this model, plus the existing 12” TPC-1250H and 15” TPC-1550H, the company has launched a matching external 2.5” hard drive kit which is easily attached to the rear of the TPCs, and increases their storage capacity. Mounting accessory kits, VESA and stand mounts are also available. These Energy Star compliant TPCs are equipped with 2x GbE network ports, 2x RS-232 ports, 2x USB ports, a CFast slot for storage, and have added protection against dust with the use of a gasket between the touch screen and the metal bezel. Since these TPCs use standard PC architecture, they are able to support Windows 7, Windows XP embedded, WinCE, and Fedora Linux, making them suitable for any industrial environment, especially for factory automation tasks.
