The LAN7500 USB 2.0-to-Gigabit Ethernet interface includes a 10/100/1000 physical layer and power management enhancements such as Wake on LAN mode, which allows systems to enter a low power state and wake on desired network traffic. The company claims the device is also the industry’s first such device to receive certification from the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). It is compliant with USB specification V1 & V2 as well as IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab Ethernet standards. The LAN7500 is available in a 56-pin, 8 mm x 8 mm 56-pin QFN package. SMSC, Hauppauge, NY.
