To simplify the installation of transient voltage suppression modules into new and existing enclosures, the company now offers customized mounting configuration and integration kits for its Strikesorb surge-protection devices. The kits feature multiple installation options including direct installation onto busbars, which precludes the need to install additional fuses or interconnection wires. The modules can also be installed in-line, reducing cable lengths and clamping voltages. Meeting both the IEC 61643-1 standard for surge protection devices and the recently revised UL 1449 - second edition safety standard, Strikesorb modules provide high-surge handling capability, combined with ultra-low let-through voltage to the load, enabling it to absorb and dissipate the excess energy from lightning strikes and power surges in a safe manner.
