DC/DC Converters Maintain A Tight Budget

Nov. 11, 2011
Designed for low power applications with limited energy budgets require highly efficient converters also at low loads, the 1W R1S/E, RB/E, and RB/E dc/dc converters achieve an efficiency up to 84%.

Designed for low power applications with limited energy budgets require highly efficient converters also at low loads, the 1W R1S/E, RB/E, and RB/E dc/dc converters achieve an efficiency up to 84%. They reach 70% efficiency even at 20% load. Low heat losses allow these converters to be used across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +100°C without Derating. The unregulated converters deliver a 5V/200-mA output from input voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, or 24 Vdc. Other features include a standard isolation of 1 kVdc/1s and optionally 2 kVdc/1s, and a MTBF of 3.5-million hours. RECOM POWER INC., Brooklyn, NY. (718) 855-9710.
