Combining a trench gate IGBT with a free-wheeling diode, the F-Series is said to offer greatly improved soft recovery characteristics with a full 30% reduction in power loss and noise generation when compared to the 3rd generation H-Series IGBTs .

Combining a trench gate IGBT with a free-wheeling diode, the F-Series is said to offer greatly improved soft recovery characteristics with a full 30% reduction in power loss and noise generation when compared to the 3rd generation H-Series IGBTs . The series also offers a range of 50A to 600A at 1200V and 75A to 600A for the 600V rating. Twenty-three types are available in the series.
