Advantages for control panel design are promised with a new line of switched power supplies, which work with all alternating voltages in the 120V to 230V range, as well as the 350V to 500V range. This allows control panels to be loaded uniformly, regardless of their worldwide application sites. With 90% efficiency, the supplies offer reduce energy consumption and also minimize heat dissipation to a reported 1/4 that of series-regulated supplies. Other benefits when compared to conventional switchers include lighter weight and smaller installation space requirements. They are available in 2.0A, 5.0A and 10A at 24 vdc versions as one-phase power supplies. The components used in the power supplies allow operation up to 55°C without derating. A 90° angle allows for mounting without a DIN rail. Call for pricing.
