Expanding the company’s portfolio of metal oxide varistors are components designed for protecting primary and secondary circuits spanning three types. The AVTP types are for primary protection with voltage ratings from 120 to 360 Vac, peak-current ratings from 800A to 13 kA, an energy absorption from 8J to 440J, and disk sizes from 5 mm to 25 mm. Providing secondary protection, the AVTS components handle 11 to 95 Vac, 250A to 10 kA, and absorb energy levels from 0.6J to 106J. They are available in disk sizes from 5 mm to 25 mm. For three-phase apps, the AVTT types provide voltage ratings from 390 Vac to 1 kVac, peak-current handling from 3.5A to 13 kA, energy absorption from 25J to 875J, and come in disk sizes from 10 mm to 25 mm. Prices start from $0.14 each and vary depending on quantity, size, and type. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA. (800) 848-2600.
