Combining typical response time of 0.5 ns with capacitance values down to 70 pF (25 pF optional) in accordance with CECC42000 and IEC 61051-1, the MLV 2322 series of multi-layer varistors numbers among its applications voltage pulse interference protection, ESD protection, RFI suppression, and I/O port protection in products such as cell phones, audio/video systems, computers, and portable instruments. Features of the MLV 2322 573 (0603 case size) and 574 (0805 case size) varistors include inherent bi-directional clamping, a high energy/volume ratio, and nickel/tin, lead-free terminations. Maximum average power dissipation is rated at 5 mW, while working voltages range from 4V to 25V, depending on device. Pricing for 573 and 574 devices is $0.38 and $0.50 each/1,000, respectively.
